Senior Accountant – Fully Remote / Work From Home
A San Diego, California–based company is seeking a Senior Accountant for a fully remote position available to candidates nationwide. The ideal candidate is self-motivated and comfortable working in a multi-faceted environment. Must be reliable, accurate, a conscientious and responsive communicator, attentive to detail, and able to maintain a positive attitude. Requires the ability to prioritize based on company objectives, multitask effectively, and manage tasks independently.
The company operates in multi-states, providing staffing services for both government and private sector. Candidate has an exceptional work ethic and is subject to a background check. This position reports directly to the Director of Finance. Primary responsibilities, include but are not limited to:
Prepare monthly financial statements, reports and records by collecting, analyzing and reconciling account information
Responsible for journal entries and general ledger
Review and reconcile bank statements
Full Accounts Payable and Receivable processing and managing
Process semi-monthly payroll (Paychex knowledge)
Manage multi-state reporting requirements and compliance
Other administrative duties as assigned
Requisite Skills and Abilities:
High proficiency in QuickBooks (Desktop)
High proficiency in Microsoft Excel
Good analytical skills
Payroll processing knowledge on tax withholdings and journal entries
Attention to confidentiality and security
High level of accuracy, organizational and time-management skills
Detail-oriented and organized
Conscientious communication skills, both verbal and written
Research and troubleshooting skills via computer and manual resources
Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field with 5+ years of solid accounting experience
Compensation
- Salary range up to $88,000 per year, based on experience
