Role Overview
Senior Accountant is responsible for overseeing day-to-day accounting operations, ensuring accuracy of financial records, compliance with statutory requirements, and timely financial reporting.
Key Roles & Responsibilities
- **Financial Reporting and Analysis:**
- Prepare accurate financial statements, balance sheets, profit and loss statements, and other reports; analyze financial data for discrepancies and trends to inform management decisions.
- **General Ledger and Account Management:**
- Maintain and reconcile the general ledger, subsidiary accounts, and monthly account reconciliations to ensure accurate reporting.
- **Audit and Compliance:**
- Coordinate internal and external audits, prepare documentation for auditors, and ensure compliance with GAAP, tax regulations, and company policies
- .
- **Budgeting and Forecasting:**
- Assist in budget preparation, financial forecasting, and cost analysis to support strategic planning.
- **Team Leadership:**
- Supervise and mentor junior accounting staff, delegate responsibilities, and provide guidance on accounting procedures
- .
- **Operational Support:**
- Manage accounts payable and receivable, payroll, cash flow, and other day-to-day accounting operations
- .
- **Process Improvement:**
- Recommend ways to reduce costs, enhance revenue, and improve internal financial processes
- .
- **Cross-Department Collaboration:**
- Work with other departments to ensure financial processes align with business objectives and support operational efficiency
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting.
- 4–6 years of senior accounting role.
- Prior experience multi-branch operation is highly preferred.
- Proficiency of accounting, financial reporting, VAT, and internal controls.
- Proficiency in accounting software / ERP systems.
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills; strong working knowledge of Word.
- Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to supervise staff, manage deadlines, and work under pressure.
