Role Overview

Senior Accountant is responsible for overseeing day-to-day accounting operations, ensuring accuracy of financial records, compliance with statutory requirements, and timely financial reporting.

Key Roles & Responsibilities

  • **Financial Reporting and Analysis:**
  • Prepare accurate financial statements, balance sheets, profit and loss statements, and other reports; analyze financial data for discrepancies and trends to inform management decisions.
  • **General Ledger and Account Management:**
  • Maintain and reconcile the general ledger, subsidiary accounts, and monthly account reconciliations to ensure accurate reporting.
  • **Audit and Compliance:**
  • Coordinate internal and external audits, prepare documentation for auditors, and ensure compliance with GAAP, tax regulations, and company policies
  • .
  • **Budgeting and Forecasting:**
  • Assist in budget preparation, financial forecasting, and cost analysis to support strategic planning.
  • **Team Leadership:**
  • Supervise and mentor junior accounting staff, delegate responsibilities, and provide guidance on accounting procedures

  • **Operational Support:**
  • Manage accounts payable and receivable, payroll, cash flow, and other day-to-day accounting operations
  • .
  • **Process Improvement:**
  • Recommend ways to reduce costs, enhance revenue, and improve internal financial processes
  • .
  • **Cross-Department Collaboration:**
  • Work with other departments to ensure financial processes align with business objectives and support operational efficiency

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting.
  • 4–6 years of senior accounting role.
  • Prior experience multi-branch operation is highly preferred.
  • Proficiency of accounting, financial reporting, VAT, and internal controls.
  • Proficiency in accounting software / ERP systems.
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills; strong working knowledge of Word.
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to supervise staff, manage deadlines, and work under pressure.
