Senior Accountant

Role Overview

Key Responsibilities

• Review daily accounting transactions, journal entries, prepayments, accruals, and general ledger accuracy.
• Manage escrow accounting, project inflows, approved outflows, and RERA/DLD compliance.
• Lead monthly, quarterly, and annual financial close processes.
• Supervise Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable cycles and collection reconciliations.
• Oversee intercompany and related-party balances across multiple entities.
• Lead UAE VAT reconciliations and VAT return filings.
• Manage bank reconciliations across operating, project, and escrow accounts.
• Perform financial analysis, variance analysis, and budget-versus-actual tracking.
• Coordinate internal and external audits and prepare working papers.
• Ensure compliance with IFRS, company policies, and UAE corporate and tax laws.
• Mentor junior accountants and administrative support staff.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• 5+ years of UAE real estate accounting experience; development experience is strongly preferred.
• Strong knowledge of UAE RERA escrow regulations, project accounting, and UAE VAT and corporate tax law.
• Advanced expertise in accounting software or ERP systems such as Yardi, Oracle, SAP, or Zoho Books.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including financial modelling, pivot tables, and complex formulas.
• ACCA, CPA, CA, or CMA qualification is highly preferred.
• Leadership, financial analysis, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
• Excellent English communication and presentation skills; Arabic fluency is advantageous.

Compensation

• Pay is listed as AED 2,995.71 to AED 10,000 per month.

Workplace

• The role is full-time, on-site, and performed in person in Dubai, UAE.
