District Group is seeking a Senior Accountant to manage end-to-end accounting operations for a cosmetics distribution company in Abu Dhabi. The role requires 8-10 years of experience, expertise in UAE VAT and Corporate Tax, and proficiency in ERP systems.

Responsibilities
- Prepare and review monthly Profit & Loss statements and Balance Sheets
- Manage general ledger activities and lead month end and year end closing processes
- Oversee accounts payable and receivable, including invoicing, collections, aging, and reconciliations
- Ensure accurate UAE VAT compliance, including return filings, reconciliations, and correct VAT treatment
- Manage UAE Corporate Tax compliance in line with Mainland Abu Dhabi, ADGM and FTA requirements
- Handle inventory accounting, COGS, and import related costs (customs duty, freight, clearing charges)
- Support internal and external audits and maintain strong internal controls
- Improve accounting processes and ERP utilization
- Supervise and mentor junior accounting staff
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
- Professional certification (CPA, ACCA, CMA) preferred
- 8 10 years of accounting experience, preferably in distribution, FMCG, or cosmetics
- Experience with UAE VAT and UAE Corporate Tax (a must), including Free Zone entities
- Solid knowledge of AP/AR, inventory accounting, and ERP systems
- Advanced Excel skills
- Strong analytical and reconciliation skills
- High attention to detail and accuracy
- Ability to manage multiple deadlines
