Senior Accountant

The Carmelite System is a multi-state not-for-profit senior living organization sponsored by the Carmelite Sisters of the Aged & Infirm.

The Carmelite Sisters operate a network of skilled nursing facilities throughout the United States.

We are seeking to hire a Senior Accountant for a fully-remote role within our finance department supporting multiple senior living facilities throughout the United States.

• This is a fully remote job.
• $80K to $100K annually based on skills and experience.

• Bachelor's Degree in Accounting.
• 3-5 years accounting experience within the healthcare industry.
• Direct experience working within a Skilled Nursing facility is preferred.
• Experience with a multi-facility finance department with specific experience filing external reporting to banks, SEC., preferred.
• CPA is preferred.
• Advanced user of Microsoft Office programs especially Excel.
• Demonstrated ability to be detailed oriented and organized.

• Create monthly, quarterly, annual Financial Reports for internal and external parties.
• Create Financial Reports in accordance with GAAP.
• Prepare monthly and annual financial statements for several facilities.
• Provide trend variances, budget variances and reasons for the discrepancies.
• Review monthly financials with Healthcare Management.
• Determine methods for reducing cost with operations.
• Collaborate with external auditors to provide necessary documentation and explanations during the audit process.
• Assist the Director of Risk Management in insurance reporting and annual renewal process.
• Create monthly and ad hoc analysis.
