Role Description

Full-time, on-site Senior Accountant role based in the Abu Dhabi Emirate, United Arab Emirates.

Manages day-to-day accounting operations, financial reporting, budgeting, compliance, audit support, process improvement, and management reporting.

The role supports accurate financial records and sound decision-making through cross-functional collaboration and financial analysis.

Core Responsibilities

  • Maintain the general ledger and oversee accounts payable and receivable, bank reconciliations, and month-end and year-end close activities.
  • Prepare and review financial statements, monitor budgets, and ensure compliance with accounting standards, internal policies, and local regulations.
  • Analyze financial data, support audits, improve financial controls and processes, and provide management with reports and recommendations.
  • Collaborate with departments, maintain accurate records, and present financial information to non-finance stakeholders.

Qualifications

  • Strong general accounting, financial reporting, budgeting, and full-cycle accounting knowledge.
  • Excel and financial analysis tool skills, with experience preparing statements, performing reconciliations, supporting audits, and ensuring compliance.
  • Analytical, problem-solving, communication, collaboration, independence, prioritization, and attention-to-detail skills.
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • CPA, ACCA, or equivalent certification is advantageous.
  • Prior senior or lead accounting experience is required; cooperative, marine, or trading experience is a plus.
