Role overview
Meraki Middle East LLC and La Stella Productions are seeking a Senior Accountant for an interior, digital, and signage business.
The role manages the company's financial health, UAE accounting compliance, reporting, and management decision support.
Key responsibilities
- Prepare, examine, and analyze accounting records, financial statements, and other financial reports.
- Manage accounts payable, accounts receivable, the general ledger, and bank reconciliations.
- Oversee month-end and year-end closing processes.
- Ensure compliance with UAE VAT laws, file VAT returns, and coordinate with auditors.
- Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning.
- Provide financial advice to management and support strategic decision-making.
- Liaise with external auditors, banks, and regulatory authorities.
- Maintain accurate documentation and filing of financial transactions.
Requirements
- A bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is required.
- Four to six years of accounting experience in the UAE is required.
- Strong knowledge of UAE VAT, accounting standards, and compliance is required.
- Proficiency in Tally, Zoho, QuickBooks, or ERP accounting systems is required.
- Advanced MS Excel skills are required.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills are required.
- Excellent communication and organizational abilities are required.
- Previous experience in a similar industry is expected.
Compensation
- The description lists a salary of AED 6,000 and a pay range of AED 5,000 to AED 6,000 per month.
