Core Responsibilities
- Prepare, review, and monitor progress invoices based on project progress, contractual terms, and payment milestones.
- Review payment certificates and ensure accurate accounting entries with supporting documentation.
- Coordinate with project managers and clients regarding invoices, payment certifications, and related financial matters.
- Follow up on certified amounts, receivables, retentions, advance payments, and contractual deductions.
- Prepare monthly profit and loss, balance sheet, cash-flow, project profitability, and management reports.
- Prepare and review monthly closing entries, account reconciliations, and supporting schedules.
- Handle UAE VAT calculations, returns, and filing in accordance with tax regulations.
- Assist with UAE corporate tax return preparation and filing.
- Maintain VAT, corporate tax, audit, and financial reporting documentation.
- Monitor daily cash flow, project collections, payments, obligations, and liquidity.
- Perform daily bank reconciliations and reconcile transactions with the accounting system.
- Monitor project transactions and allocate project costs, revenues, receivables, and collections.
Requirements
- Ability to manage project accounting activities including progress invoices, payment certificates, receivables, retentions, and contractual deductions.
- Ability to prepare monthly financial reports, closing entries, account reconciliations, and supporting schedules.
- Working knowledge of UAE VAT calculations, returns, and filing requirements.
- Working knowledge of UAE corporate tax return preparation and filing.
- Ability to monitor cash flow, perform bank reconciliations, and support project profitability analysis.
