Position Overview
The position is Senior Accountant in Ajman and requires a minimum of 7 years of experience.
The role covers financial management, audit and tax compliance, MIS reporting, inventory and assets, banking, team supervision, and cost optimization.
Financial Management
- Prepare and maintain profit and loss statements, balance sheets, cash flow reports, and other accurate financial records.
- Ensure compliance with international accounting standards and regulatory requirements.
- Conduct monthly, quarterly, and annual closings.
Audit and Compliance
- Assist with internal audits and support the annual external audit process.
- Review and reconcile accounts and statements and rectify discrepancies in financial documents.
- Apply UAE tax laws and regulations, including UAE VAT law, VAT filing, and corporate tax requirements for import/export and designated company transactions.
MIS, Inventory, and Assets
- Generate MIS reports and present financial data and recommendations to support management decisions.
- Monitor stock performance and provide inventory management insights.
- Support asset tracking and depreciation schedules.
Banking and Team Collaboration
- Liaise with banks and financial institutions regarding accounts, credits, and related services.
- Manage daily financial transactions and oversee payment processing.
- Work with sales, service, and MPS teams to support financial operations.
- Supervise junior accountants and provide guidance on accounting best practices.
Cost Optimization
- Identify opportunities to improve profitability and reduce costs.
- Suggest enhancements to accounting systems and processes for greater efficiency.
Qualifications and Skills
- Master's degree is required.
- A Chartered Accountant, MBA in Finance, ACCA, CPA, or equivalent certification is listed as a qualification.
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles and financial regulations.
- Proficiency in Tally Prime Gold or similar accounting software.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, deadline-management, and pressure-handling abilities.
Experience Requirements
- At least 7 years of accounting experience is required.
- At least 5 years of auditing experience and 5 years of UAE VAT filing experience are required.
- At least 3 years of corporate tax experience and 5 years of Wage Protection System experience are required.
Compensation
- Pay ranges from AED 7,000 to AED 8,000 per month.
