JOB TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Accounting responsibilities include:
Generate timely and accurate monthly financial reports including Balance Sheet, Profit & Loss, and Cash Flow for each entity.

Prepare bank, credit card, and other account reconciliations.
Record and balance intercompany receivables and payables.
Prepare month-end journal entries and maintain associated subledgers (prepaids, depreciation, cost of goods sold, revenue recognition, deferred gain, etc.).
Calculate and invoice monthly intercompany fee billings.
Provide assistance as needed to Bookkeeper with AP processing including: invoice approvals, invoice coding, process lien waivers, prepare checks for bi-monthly bill payment, and maintain paperless documentation/files.
Provide other assistance as needed to Bookkeeper to facilitate timely month-end close (record deposits, post miscellaneous tenant charges, post tenant lease amendments, etc.)
Back-up for Bookkeeper: Prepare construction and development loan draw requests for bank submission.
Job cost accounting responsibilities include:
Forecast project spend and cash flows.
Gather information for budget adjustments and maintain budgets in the software system.
Maintain and balance job cost system.
Financial Analysis responsibilities include:
Prepare proformas for prospective projects and update proformas for ongoing projects as required. Currently using Argus Developer and Argus Enterprise software.
Updating proformas, forecasts, and budgets for investor group and senior management.
Maintain complete paperless filing system and documentation to support financial records.
Other duties as assigned.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
Proficient in software utilization.
Knowledge of bookkeeping practices and generally accepted accounting principles and procedures.
Knowledge of partnership taxation.
Degree in accounting.
Minimum five years accounting experience or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Experience in public accounting a plus but not required.
