Role Overview
The employer is seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Senior Project Accountant for its Finance team.
The role focuses on project cost accounting in EPC, construction, contracting, engineering, industrial, or marine environments.
Key Responsibilities
- Monitor and allocate project costs accurately.
- Prepare and monitor project budgets and cost forecasts.
- Analyze actual costs against budgets and identify cost variances.
- Manage inventory accounting and reconciliations.
- Handle supplier and subcontractor accounting and reconciliations.
- Monitor project advances, commitments, and outstanding liabilities.
- Support month-end closing activities and project cost reporting.
- Prepare management reports and financial analysis.
- Ensure accurate recording of project-related financial transactions.
- Work with SAP, Oracle, or similar ERP systems.
- Support Finance and Project Management teams with cost-related information.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or Commerce.
- At least 7 years of relevant experience as a Project Accountant.
- Strong experience in construction, contracting, engineering, or industrial environments.
- Strong knowledge of full project cost accounting cycles.
- Excellent analytical, reconciliation, and problem-solving skills.
- Experience with SAP, Oracle, or similar ERP platforms.
Compensation
- The stated pay is AED 8,000 to AED 12,000 per month.
Work Location
- The role requires in-person work.
