Senior Accountant

Job Summary

Location and Work Type

• The position is based in Thanjavur or Trichy, Tamil Nadu.
• The role is full-time and requires in-person work.
• Candidates from Thanjavur, Trichy, or nearby locations are preferred.

Responsibilities

• Handle day-to-day accounting and financial transactions.
• Maintain books of accounts and ensure the accuracy of financial records.
• Manage GST compliance, returns, reconciliations, and related documentation.
• Perform accounting activities using Tally.
• Manage import and export accounting and documentation.
• Handle foreign currency and money exchange transactions and related accounting.
• Prepare and maintain invoices, vouchers, ledgers, and financial statements.
• Perform bank and account reconciliations.
• Coordinate with auditors, banks, vendors, and other stakeholders.
• Ensure timely statutory compliance and proper maintenance of financial records.
• Support management with accounting reports and financial information.

Requirements

• A bachelor's degree in Commerce, Accounting, Finance, or an equivalent qualification is required.
• Twelve to fifteen years of relevant accounting experience is required.
• Strong hands-on experience with Tally and GST is required.
• Experience in import and export accounting is mandatory.
• Knowledge of foreign currency and money exchange transactions is required.
• Strong knowledge of accounting principles and statutory compliance is required.
• Good analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills are required.

Compensation

• Pay is up to ₹60,000 per month.
