Senior Accountant

Role Overview

Key Responsibilities

• Manage journal entries, ledger reconciliation, and month-end and year-end closing processes.
• Prepare and analyze financial statements and management reports.
• Ensure reporting complies with IFRS standards and local UAE regulations.
• Support ad hoc financial analysis and reporting.
• Prepare annual budgets and financial forecasts.
• Monitor customer accounts, collections, and accounts receivable aging.
• Process vendor payments according to payment terms and reconcile accounts.
• Monitor cash flow for project expenditures and operational needs.
• Ensure compliance with UAE VAT laws and other tax regulations.
• Participate in accounting-system implementation and optimization.

Qualifications and Skills

• Commerce degree with at least four years of similar experience, or CA Inter with articleship experience.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel for data analysis and reporting.
• At least two years of QuickBooks experience.
• At least three years of UAE accounting experience involving financial record-keeping and VAT filings.
• High accuracy, attention to detail, and strong written and verbal English communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
• Malayalam language proficiency is required.

Compensation

• The salary is AED 5,000 to AED 7,000 per month.
