Role Overview
The Senior Account Executive plays a lead role on accounts through media relations, writing, client counsel, project management, and oversight of junior team members.
The role involves understanding client businesses, identifying opportunities, and helping deliver high-quality work and measurable results.
Senior Account Executives mentor junior colleagues and participate in client work, brainstorming, strategic planning, creative planning, and internal initiatives.
What You Will Do
- Maintain account infrastructure, including editorial calendars, media target lists, speaking and awards calendars, and other account materials.
- Understand relevant media landscapes and how to reach target journalists and outlets.
- Develop creative client pitches and oversee campaign reporting and analysis.
- Build relationships with journalists covering client industries.
- Draft press releases, announcements, fact sheets, bylines, blog posts, and other client materials.
- Copy-edit, proofread, and produce audience-appropriate narratives and storytelling.
- Understand client businesses, industries, and competitors.
- Act as the day-to-day client liaison and provide strategic campaign counsel.
- Identify project and cross-sell opportunities on accounts.
Qualifications
- 3–5 years of relevant communications or public relations experience.
- Fluency in both English and Arabic is preferred.
- Bachelor's degree in Public Relations, Communications, or a related field.
- Strong media relations skills and knowledge of the regional media landscape.
- Strong interest in financial services, professional services, technology, or B2B communications.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills and ability to produce polished, client-ready work.
- Strong project management skills and ability to manage multiple workstreams and deadlines.
- Experience supporting and mentoring junior team members.
- Proficiency in Cision, Factiva, and Microsoft Suite.
Work Arrangement
- The role is based in the Abu Dhabi office and follows a hybrid work policy.
- Candidates based in Dubai may be considered if they can commute to the Abu Dhabi office at least three days per week.
