About the Atelier

Role Overview

Responsibilities

• Cut, sew, alter, and finish luxury abayas to a high standard.
• Take accurate measurements and carry out fittings.
• Follow designs, patterns, measurements, and instructions correctly.
• Work with delicate, embroidered, and embellished fabrics.
• Ensure clean stitching, lining, hemming, and finishing.
• Identify and correct fitting, sewing, and finishing issues.
• Check completed garments for fit, quality, and overall finish.
• Work with the designer and atelier team to complete garments on time.

Requirements

• At least five years of experience in luxury or couture abaya tailoring.
• Strong cutting, sewing, alteration, and finishing skills.
• Ability to complete an abaya independently to a high standard.
• Good understanding of measurements, fitting, and garment construction.
• Experience working with delicate and luxury fabrics.
• Excellent attention to detail and quality.
• Ability to solve tailoring problems and work well under pressure.
• Ability to follow instructions and work effectively as part of a team.
• Ability to communicate effectively in English.
• Currently residing in the UAE and available to join immediately or at short notice.

Compensation and Benefits

• Monthly salary is AED 3,800–AED 4,200 based on experience and demonstrated skills.
• Additional incentives are available.
• Other benefits are provided according to UAE labour law.
• The role offers work on high-end couture and bespoke creations.

Work Setting

• The position is based in Dubai and requires in-person work at the atelier.

Selection Process

• Applicants should submit a CV with photos or samples of recent abaya or couture tailoring work.
• Shortlisted candidates will complete a practical assessment covering cutting, sewing, fitting, and finishing.
