The Role
This is an entry-level technical role providing hands-on experience in security operations.
Work with senior analysts and engineers to deliver network and cybersecurity services while developing skills in incident response, security tooling, and customer engagement.
Support day-to-day security operations while gaining exposure to security tools and frameworks.
Role Responsibilities
- Monitor, analyze, and triage alerts across EDR/XDR, email security, identity management, and SIEM/SOAR platforms.
- Investigate security events and support incident response using established processes and playbooks.
- Identify, assess, and document incidents to enable accurate tracking and timely resolution.
- Maintain incident reports, operational procedures, knowledge articles, and lessons-learned documentation.
- Assist with deployment, configuration, and maintenance of security tools and controls.
- Escalate complex incidents and critical issues to senior analysts and relevant stakeholders.
- Support improvements to security monitoring, detection, and response capabilities.
- Follow organizational security standards and frameworks, including NIST, ISO 27001, and Essential Eight.
- Collaborate with internal teams on threats, vulnerabilities, and security-related concerns.
- Contribute to the organization’s security posture through proactive monitoring and operational support.
