Role Overview
The Security Manager supports the safety and security of guests, employees, and property at Banyan Tree Doha.
The role covers security strategy, emergency preparedness, loss prevention, fire and life safety, hotel policy, operational standards, and legal compliance.
Security Operations
- Supervise patrols, access control, CCTV monitoring, incident reporting, and loss prevention.
- Control back-of-house access for contractors, suppliers, and visitors and manage visitor passes.
- Maintain confidential security records and investigations and review daily security logs and reports.
Emergency and Fire Safety
- Maintain emergency readiness and update emergency manuals, fire safety procedures, and crisis management plans.
- Coordinate inspections and preventive maintenance of safety and firefighting equipment with Engineering.
- Conduct fire drills, evacuation exercises, and emergency simulations.
Training and Coordination
- Maintain relationships with local police, fire brigade, and relevant authorities.
- Train employees on security awareness and emergency responsibilities.
- Provide specialized security training in fire prevention, lifesaving, crime scene preservation, crisis response, report writing, and guest interaction.
Candidate Expectations
- Attention to detail, reliability, strong work ethic, ability to follow instructions, and initiative are emphasized.
- The role requires compliance with hotel policies, legal requirements, and the Integrated Management System.
Management Systems
The role supports quality management, environmental management, occupational health and safety, food safety, customer complaint handling, risk management, and continuous improvement.
