Position Details

Position Overview

Key Responsibilities

• Monitor the gatehouse and control site access for employees, visitors, contractors, and vehicles.
• Verify identification and maintain accurate access and visitor records.
• Conduct site patrols and maintain a visible security presence.
• Monitor CCTV, access control, and other security systems as required.
• Respond promptly to security incidents, emergencies, and safety concerns.
• Maintain clear communication with security personnel and site management.
• Complete accurate daily logs, incident reports, and shift handover documentation.
• Identify and report security risks, safety hazards, and unauthorized activity.
• Follow all site-specific security, safety, and emergency procedures.

Qualifications & Requirements

• 1 year of experience in gatehouse or access control operations preferred.
• Valid Ontario Security Guard Licence .
• Valid First Aid and CPR certification .
• Minimum 18 years of age .
• Strong computer and typing skills.
• Excellent customer service and communication skills.
• High school diploma, GED, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Legally authorized to work in Canada for up to 40 hours per week.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to accurately maintain records.
• Ability to work independently and exercise sound judgment in a professional environment.
