About the Role
SMS Security is a growing security and systems company seeking dependable casual / on-call security guards to join our team. This role is ideal for security professionals who value flexibility and are available to provide coverage on an on-call basis across residential condominium properties throughout the Greater Toronto Area (GTA).
Responsibilities
- Perform concierge duties and provide exceptional customer service
- Monitor CCTV cameras and alarm systems to detect and prevent security issues
- Conduct regular patrols of assigned properties, both interior and exterior
- Maintain a visible and professional presence to deter incidents and support a safe environment
- Respond to emergencies including fire alarms, medical situations, and elevator entrapments
- Complete accurate incident reports and daily occurrence logs in a timely manner
- Manage parcel and delivery handling, including logging, verification, and distribution
- Greet and assist visitors while managing access control to the property
- Enforce property rules, site policies, and applicable municipal by-laws
- Maintain communication with site supervisors and management as required
- Other duties as assigned
