To be successful as an Security Engineer VP, you should have experience with:
Strong Python development skills (writing production-quality, maintainable code)
designing, consuming, and integrating APIs
Solid understanding of DevOps practices and tooling (CI/CD, GitLab, containerization, IaC)
with Splunk SOAR (or similar SOAR platforms)
with Azure Logic Apps or comparable workflow/orchestration tools
Solid foundation in core security concepts (threat detection, incident response, vulnerability management)
Proven experience leading or mentoring a team, formally or informally
Some other highly valued skills may include:
Experience with cloud platforms (Azure preferred, given Logic Apps usage; AWS/GCP a plus)
Familiarity with SIEM platforms (Splunk in particular)
with infrastructure-as-code tools (Terraform, ARM/Bicep)
Scripting/automation experience beyond Python (PowerShell, Bash)
Relevant certifications (e.g., OSCP, GCIH, Security+, Azure Security Engineer)
