The company operates a high-volume crypto platform handling global users, web and backend infrastructure, on-chain transactions, multi-signature treasuries, and third-party integrations.
The Security Engineer will own security across the platform and corporate environment and will report to the General Manager.
Security ownership
- Set and enforce security guidelines and access controls across all company systems.
- Build CI/CD security gates, secrets management, dependency and supply-chain checks, key-management controls, hardware-key policies, and tested incident-response runbooks.
- Monitor attacks, anomalous behavior, wallet drains, phishing infrastructure, and social engineering, including phishing simulations and training.
- Review backend authentication, API authorization, rate limiting, validation, queues, database access, and RPC or indexing systems.
- Own logging, alerting, and metrics and investigate anomalies before they affect users.
- Work with legal on user-data collection, storage, access, retention, and protection.
- Audit multi-signature structures and transaction flows, including signer sets, thresholds, custody, upgrade authorities, and approvals.
Requirements
- Demonstrated crypto experience and fluency in DeFi mechanics are required.
- The candidate must be comfortable on-chain and able to read transactions and trace funds independently.
- Strong application and infrastructure security engineering experience is required.
- Cloud, container, network, and database security should be familiar areas.
- The role requires ownership during urgent incidents and direct communication about security risks.
Work arrangement
- The role is described as hybrid in the UAE.
