GoDaddy’s Product Security team is hiring a Security Engineer to help secure products and services used by customers worldwide.
The role works with engineering and platform teams to identify risks and embed security throughout the software development lifecycle.
Responsibilities
- Identify, assess, and help remediate risks across applications, infrastructure, cloud environments, and AI-enabled services.
- Design, implement, and improve security controls with engineering and platform teams.
- Conduct security reviews, threat modeling, and risk assessments.
- Develop automation, tooling, and processes that improve security coverage, detection, response, and operational efficiency.
- Investigate security findings and contribute to security awareness and continuous learning.
- Monitor emerging threats and technologies.
Required experience
- At least 2 years of experience in information security, security engineering, application security, or a related technical field.
- Understanding of web, API, cloud, and network security fundamentals.
- Understanding of common application security risks and secure development practices.
- Experience or exposure to security testing, vulnerability management, code review, risk assessment, or penetration testing.
- Familiarity with SAST, DAST, vulnerability scanners, dependency scanning, or security monitoring tools.
- Basic scripting or programming skills such as Python, Go, or Java.
Additional qualifications
- Familiarity with threat modeling and risk assessment concepts.
- Experience with AWS, Azure, or GCP.
- Knowledge of CI/CD, DevOps, or Infrastructure as Code.
- Basic understanding of AI/LLM application security.
- Participation in bug bounty programs, CTF competitions, or open-source security projects.
