About the Role
The Security Engineer will work across application and platform security for Sentry’s customers, code, and cloud environment.
The role partners with product and engineering teams to make secure development practices an integrated part of feature design and delivery.
The team operates with broad scope, autonomy, technical collaboration, and a focus on emerging security challenges.
Responsibilities
- Support security reviews including secure code review, architecture review, and threat modeling.
- Mature vulnerability management through intake, triage, prioritization, remediation tracking, and disclosure program support.
- Embed secure-by-design principles and security tooling into engineering and CI/CD workflows.
- Reproduce and validate application and infrastructure findings through scanning, manual testing, and penetration testing support.
- Evaluate emerging application security threats in Sentry’s cloud environment, including agentic product and AI-assisted engineering risks.
