Required Qualifications and Experience
- B.Tech (Mechanical) or Commerce (MBA/PGDM in Materials Management preferred) with 8–15 years of experience
Job Purpose
To lead and manage the procurement function of the sugar factory by ensuring timely, cost-effective, and quality purchasing of raw materials, consumables, engineering spares, chemicals, packaging materials, services, and capital equipment required for smooth plant operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Procurement Management, Vendor Management, Cost Control & Budget Management, Inventory & Material Coordination, Tendering & Contract Management, Compliance & Documentation, and Team Leadership.
Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)
Material availability rate, procurement cost savings, purchase order cycle time, vendor performance ratings, inventory carrying cost reduction, on-time delivery percentage, and procurement compliance score.
Required Skills
- Procurement, sourcing, negotiation, inventory management, ERP/SAP HANA, SAP Ariba, analytical and leadership skills.
Preferred Knowledge
Sugar manufacturing process, Logistic management, GST regulations, and contract management.
Working Conditions
Factory-based role with interdepartmental coordination and periodic travel.
