Section Engineer

BAM UK & Ireland are seeking a driven and ambitious Section Engineer to join our collaborative project team in the North East of Scotland. Following a strong pipeline of recent project awards and an expanding portfolio, this is an exciting time to come on board and play a key role in delivering major civil engineering works that will help shape Scotland’s renewable energy future.

Based on-site in Aberdeenshire, you’ll be at the heart of high-profile, forward-thinking projects, working alongside a supportive and experienced team to deliver infrastructure with lasting impact.

BAM operates a flexible working policy

As a Section Engineer, you will be responsible for the following:

Set a high personal example of safety and environmental behaviour.

Communicate with foremen and gangers to ensure full understanding of information provided.

Confirm in writing any verbal instructions received from the client/designer / RE’s staff and ensure that comprehensive records of resources employed on additional works are maintained.

Arrange formal checking of setting out and ensure check request form is completed.

Ensure reasonable survey book standards and daily diaries are maintained by engineers.

Ensure that inspection and test plans are completed and digitally recorded.

Prepare 4 weekly programmes in conjunction with the section foreman.

Monitor the 4-week programme, mark up progress for review at the weekly site review meeting.

Prepare written risk assessments and method statements for the control of the works.
