Responsibilities
- Have an in depth knowledge of the subject to answer questions and teach content contained in school standards
- Go beyond the basics of biology to impart specific wisdom to students
- Develop curricula, present lessons, evaluate student performance
- Prepare and grade examinations, work with parents on student performance, and supervise student behavior
- Work in teams with the rest of the faculty to prepare standardized tests
- Participate in the planning and implementation of school’s policies and regulations
- Make accurate and productive use of assessment including using data to monitor progress, set targets and plan subsequent lessons
- Give students regular feedback, both orally and through accurate and diagnostic marking
- Record and make use of summative and formative assessments to secure progress
- Undertake pastoral duties
- Participate in meetings at school related to curriculum, administration or organisation
- Attend parents’ meetings and discuss student achievement and well being
Requirements
- Minimum Bachelor Degree or equivalent in Education or the subject intended to teach specialized in a specific cycle/stage
- PGCE certificate
- At least 4 years of teaching experience in the subject intended to teach in the English National Curriculum
- Holding an ADEK licence is beneficial
- Possess valid references, police checks
- Candidates with pastoral experience and expertise are encouraged to apply

Job Summary
- Our partner school is seeking a secondary teacher of biology to start immediately. The school is a UK curriculum school located within Abu Dhabi UAE.
- Have an in depth knowledge of the subject to be able to answer questions from students and teach content contained in school standards.
- Goes beyond the basics of biology to impart specific wisdom to students.
- Passion for the topic should always be evident, to the degree that students will want to learn more about this life science.
- Develop curricula, present lessons, evaluate student performance.
- In charge of preparing and grading examinations, working with parents on student performance, and supervising student behavior.
- Work in teams with the rest of the faculty to prepare standardized tests.
- Participate in the planning of and implementation of their school’s policies and regulations for all students.
- Make accurate and productive use of assessment including using data to monitor progress, set targets and plan subsequent lessons.
