Ensure that operators are following policies and procedures.
Conduct daily shift meetings to review safety, quality and productivity.
Complete reports needed to track production and report on progress.
Ensure work instructions, quality documentation, tools and materials necessary to perform duties are provided.
Verify all new employees are trained properly and have completed all checklists that apply to daily operations.
Review all production paperwork and save in correct files.
Coordinate product movement between the finished goods warehouse and the production area.
Oversee setup techs in their daily change overs and assure LOTO and LOTO Audits are complete.
Complete TSO (Job Task Safety Observations) weekly.
Ensure safety training for all employees is 100% complete each month by the due date.
Manage quality complaints for the department and complete reports as needed.
Support implementation of Continuous Improvement Projects.
Plan daily operator workload to maximize efficiency and productivity.
Perform monthly safety audits and maintain 5S standards.
Ensure proper PPE is being worn.
Review/submit timecards weekly.
Provide necessary feedback on direct reports’ performance according to procedures.
Communicate with other departments in a timely and professional manner.
