SDE- 1 Backend

We’re looking for a Backend Engineer (SDE 1) with a strong foundation in Java to join our growing backend team.

This role is ideal for engineers with 1+ year of experience who are curious, driven, and eager to work on complex, high-scale systems from day one.

You will contribute to the development of secure, scalable backend services while collaborating with cross-functional teams.

• Write clean, testable, and efficient code in Java (Spring Boot).
• Collaborate with senior engineers to build and maintain backend microservicesAPIs, and platform enhancements.
• Participate in code reviews, technical discussions, and product grooming.
• Debug, troubleshoot, and resolve backend issues in production and staging under guidance.
• Contribute to internal tools, platform improvements, and documentation.
• Learn and apply best practices in security, scalability, and cloud-first development.

• 1+ year of experience in backend development (internships or full-time).
• Strong foundation in Java and backend fundamentals (OOPs, REST, DBs).
• Familiarity with Spring Boot, REST APIs, and RDBMS (PostgreSQL preferred).
• Good understanding of version control (Git), basic CI/CD, and debugging practices.
• A proactive mindset with strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Clear communication, curiosity, and a strong willingness to learn and grow in a product-focused environment.

Nice to Have

• Exposure to cloud platforms (Azure/AWS/GCP) or CI/CD tools.
• Past experience in fintech, SaaS, or working on APIs/platforms.
• Side projects, open-source contributions, or coding competition participation.
• Exposure to distributed systems or microservices architecture.

Round 1(60 Mins)- Evaluate fundamental programming skills, logical thinking, backend, and Java basics.

Round 2(45-60 Mins)-Evaluate understanding of backend systems, basic service architecture, and technical growth potential in a real-world context.
