Responsibilities
- Adhere to principles of clinical governance
- Admit and discharge patients on theatre days
- Administer drugs in accordance with NMC guidelines
- Provide scrub experience for clinical procedures
- Assist consultant and clinical team in ophthalmic care delivery
- Prepare areas and check equipment before clinical activities
- Ensure correct storage of all equipment
- Assist with stock control and maintain par levels
- Manage theatre equipment on a daily basis
- Ensure patient confidentiality in accordance with Data Protection Act
Requirements
- Registered Nurse with valid NMC registration
- Scrub experience for clinical procedures

Role Overview
- Scrub Nurse at SpaMedica, based in Dorchester cluster working across multiple sites.
- Full time, 37.5 hours per week, 4 days out of 6, 7:30 AM to 5:30 PM.
- Salary £35,581 £42,622 depending on experience.
Responsibilities
- Adhere to principles of clinical governance.
- Admission and discharge of patients on a theatre day.
- Administer drugs in accordance with NMC guidelines.
- Adhere to NMC guidelines for record keeping.
- Provide scrub experience for clinical procedures.
- Follow correct procedure for reporting accidents or incidents.
- Assist consultant and clinical team in delivery of ophthalmic care.
- Prepare all areas prior to clinical activities, ensure equipment checked and ready.
- Ensure correct storage of all equipment.
- Adhere to all policies and procedures.
- Assist with stock control, maintain realistic par levels.
- Manage all theatre equipment on a daily basis.
