Introduction

  • Join ScotiaMcLeod’s National Sales Management team as a Senior Business Analyst to support a national wealth management platform.
  • Use analytical mindset, business knowledge, and stakeholder management skills to deliver reporting, improve processes, and resolve business issues.

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Develop strong knowledge of ScotiaMcLeod Advisor Compensation, payment structures, and client grouping methodology.
  • Build effective working relationships across the team and with various business lines.
  • Own weekly, monthly, quarterly, and ad hoc reporting.
  • Manage multiple processes and programs and provide day to day operational support.
  • Liaise with all levels of Sales Management to drive resolution to business issues.
  • Assume end to end ownership of projects: conduct interviews, define scope, research, analyze, and document stakeholder needs.
  • Leverage source systems and databases for data extracts.
  • Identify and investigate issues to ensure validity of conclusions.
  • Develop proposals, participate in implementation of new/enhanced tools, perform testing, define user procedures, and provide training.
  • Identify opportunities for improvement by studying current practices.
  • Apply business knowledge to design methodologies, data and system solutions, analytics, and insights.
  • Prepare technical reports and facilitate creation of new reports.

Do You Have The Skills

  • 2 5 years Business Analysis experience.
  • Good knowledge of wealth management concepts and financial instruments.
  • Knowledge of back office processes; brokerage operational processes considered an asset.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook). Advanced Excel knowledge required.
  • Knowledge of Broadridge, AS400, MS Access/VBA, SQL, Visual Studio, Power BI considered an asset.
  • Must be creative, proactive, organized, self starting, result oriented, and highly motivated.
  • Strong problem solving and analytical skills and great attention to detail.
