About the Role
Lime is looking for a Lead Mechanic to lead a team of Mechanics and Senior Mechanics while maintaining the fleet of shared electric vehicles. Responsibilities include training, quality checks, repairs, and inventory management.

Responsibilities
- Onboard, train, and lead a team of Mechanics and Senior Mechanics
- Assign daily tasks and ensure workflow is efficient
- Maintain a team oriented environment and integrate new Mechanics
- Evaluate and provide feedback to manager on team performance
- Ensure operational compliance and safety of all vehicles by completing quality checks
- Follow established safety procedures
- Ensure accurate documentation of completed quality checks
- Manage battery operations such as inspection, rotation, check in/out
- Support inventory management and organization of tools, parts, and vehicles
- Identify issues and perform small repairs on vehicles in field
- Perform in warehouse repairs from basic maintenance to complex electronic part replacement
- Safely operate a van to assist with deployment and retrieval of Lime electric vehicles
Requirements
- Must be at least 21 years of age with a valid driver license and good driving record
- 1 year of experience in a similar industry; with the ability to train others preferred
- Ability to work various shifts including evenings and weekends
- Ability to lift up to 65lbs / 35 kg on a frequent basis
- Comfortable learning and adapting to new concepts and using new tools
- Ability to use data to inform decision making and understand KPIs
- Knowledge of cell phone applications; iOS experience preferred
- Strong problem solving skills
- Self motivated with ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Strong organizational skills

What you’ll do
- Onboard, train, and lead a team of Mechanics and Senior Mechanics while assigning daily tasks as needed and ensuring workflow is efficient.
- Maintain a team oriented environment and integrate new Mechanics to the team.
- Evaluate and provide feedback to manager on team performance.
- Ensure operational compliance and safety of all vehicles by completing quality checks prior to their departure from the warehouse for deployment.
- Follow established safety procedures to ensure Lime riders are on the safest vehicles.
- Ensure accurate documentation of completed quality checks for vehicles and parts.
- Manage battery operations such as inspection, rotation, check in/out, and more.
- Support inventory management and organization of tools, parts, and vehicles.
- May assist with any level of tire maintenance including changes, inflation, or assembly.
- Identify issues and perform small repairs on vehicles in field from brake adjustments to vehicle cleaning.
- Maintain and abide by safety and hygiene standards within the warehouse.
- Perform in warehouse repairs from basic maintenance to complex electronic part replacement.
About you
- Must be at least 21 years of age with a valid driver license and good driving record.
- 1 year of experience in a similar industry; with the ability to train others preferred.
- Ability to work various shifts including evenings and weekends.
- Ability to lift up to 65lbs / 35 kg on a frequent basis required.
- An understanding of workforce management to help Ops Management ensure efficient staffing.
- Comfortable learning and adapting to new concepts and using new tools.
- Ability to use data to inform decision making; and understand KPIs (Key Performance Indicators) to make an impact.
- Knowledge of cell phone applications. iOS experience preferred.
- Experience safely operating a pallet jack or push cart.
- Strong problem solving skills, with the ability to perform quick and efficient repairs.
- Self motivated with and the ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage daily tasks.
