About the Role
Nuitree is seeking a Scientific Regulatory Affairs (SRA) Lead to ensure all products comply with national and international food regulations. The role involves regulatory compliance, product registration, labeling and claims management, scientific support, and cross-functional collaboration.

Responsibilities
- Ensure all products comply with local and international food laws, standards, and guidelines
- Review and approve product formulations, ingredients, additives, and processing aids
- Monitor regulatory changes and communicate impacts to internal teams
- Handle product registrations, label assessments, and certifications through Dubai Municipality and MOIAT portals
- Design and review product artwork, labeling, and declarations from SRA perspective
- Provide scientific justification for ingredients, processing technologies, and claims
- Conduct regulatory risk assessments for new ingredients, suppliers, and processes
- Work closely with R&D, Quality Assurance, Marketing, Supply Chain, and Legal
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Food Science, Quality Management, or a related field
- 5–8 years of experience in regulatory affairs in the food industry
- Familiarity with GCC, Codex, EU, or FDA regulations
- Strong understanding of UAE regulatory frameworks and GSO standards
- Fluency in Arabic and English is a must
- Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)

About the Role
- To ensure all products, ingredients, processes, labels, and claims comply with national and international food regulations.
- The SRA role protects consumer safety, ensures legal compliance, supports new product development, and manages scientific and regulatory risks for the business.
Key Responsibilities
- Regulatory Compliance: Ensure all products comply with local and international food laws, standards, and guidelines.
- Review and approve product formulations, ingredients, additives, and processing aids.
- Monitor regulatory changes and communicate impacts to internal teams.
- Ensure compliance with UAE, GSO, Codex and other relevant standards.
- Build and maintain professional relationships with regulatory authorities, food control agencies, standards bodies, and governmental institutions.
- Represent the company in regulatory discussions, technical committees, and industry associations.
- Monitor and interpret upcoming regulatory changes and communicate potential impacts to internal stakeholders.
- Product Registration & Approvals: Liaise with external bodies, including government authorities, laboratories, and certification agencies.
- Handle product registrations, label assessments, and certifications through Dubai Municipality and MOIAT portals.
- Prepare and submit product registration dossiers to regulatory authorities.
- Manage the required product certification (Halal, Vegan, Non GMO, EQM, Organic etc) according to business needs.
- Advocate for science‑based, practical, and industry‑aligned regulatory frameworks while maintaining full compliance with legal and ethical standards.
Qualifications & Skills
- Bachelor’s degree in Food Science, Quality Management, or a related field.
- 5–8 years of experience regulatory affairs in food industry, Experience in dairy, food& beverage is preferred.
- Familiarity with GCC, Codex, EU, or FDA regulations.
- Strong understanding of UAE regulatory frameworks and GSO standards.
- Excellent organizational, communication, and documentation skills.
- Fluency in Arabic and English is a must (French will be an advantage).
- Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
- Strong knowledge of UAE,GSO & Codex food laws, labeling regulations, and ingredient standards.
- Strong communication and cross‑functional collaboration.
- Ability to interpret complex regulations and translate them into practical guidance.
- Detail‑oriented with strong analytical skills.
- Scientific writing and documentation skills.
