About The Role
The School Operations Assistant provides high-quality administrative and operational support to ensure the efficient day-to-day functioning of a School.
Working as part of a collaborative professional services team, you will support key academic and business activities, coordinate meetings and events, maintain records and systems, and provide responsive support to a diverse range of stakeholders.
This role contributes to a positive staff and student experience while supporting broader Faculty and School initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide efficient administrative support including diary management, document preparation, record keeping and data management.
- Coordinate meetings, workshops, seminars and committee activities, ensuring smooth planning and delivery.
- Support financial and operational processes including purchase orders, invoices, travel arrangements and office resource management.
- Maintain accurate records, support academic and school processes, and contribute to the delivery of Faculty and School initiatives.
About the Team
This position sits within the School Operations team and reports to the School Operations Manager or School Coordinator.
You will work closely with Heads of School, academic staff, professional services colleagues, Faculty leaders and central business units across the University.
The team plays a critical role in enabling teaching, research and operational excellence by delivering responsive, customer-focused support services.
What You'Ll Bring
- Completion of Year 12, a Certificate II/III in Business Administration (or related discipline), or an equivalent combination of experience and training.
- Demonstrated experience providing administrative support in a busy and complex office environment.
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage competing priorities and meet deadlines.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with a commitment to customer service excellence.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and the ability to maintain accuracy and attention to detail across multiple systems.

Role Details
- Permanent/Continuing, Full-time appointment
- Level 3/4: $67,214 - $85,682 Salary plus 17% superannuation commensurate with skills, experience and capability
• Location: Wollongong Campus
- Valid Australian work rights required. Visa sponsorship is not available
