Role Overview
Plan and supervise scaffolding activities for ship repair and offshore construction projects.
Ensure access structures are safe, compliant, inspected, and available according to project requirements.
Scaffolding Operations
- Supervise daily scaffolding erection, modification, inspection, tagging, and dismantling.
- Review drawings, access arrangements, load requirements, and component suitability.
- Allocate scaffolders and ensure manpower, materials, tools, and access equipment are available.
Safety and Inspection
- Conduct toolbox talks and pre-job briefings covering JSA, method statements, and scaffolding requirements.
- Inspect structures and components and keep inspection status, tagging, and certification current.
- Remove defective or unsafe components from service.
Project Coordination
- Coordinate with Production, Planning, HSE, and other disciplines to sequence activities and provide access on schedule.
- Ensure complex, high-level, or critical scaffolding follows approved drawings, method statements, and engineering requirements.
