We are looking for a SATCOM Engineer to join our growing team in Fort Detrick, MD!

The successful candidate will have the ability to work independently and follow through with requirements needing minimal guidance or supervision.

He or she must be able to adjust to emergency situations and changing priorities while remaining composed and effective under pressure.

Heavy workloads, time sensitive demands, and/or changing conditions are normal in this position.

The successful candidate will be able to easily handle these complexities, while remaining tactful, diplomatic, considerate of the views of others, and effective as a team player.

Responsible for configuration, administration, management and cyber security posture of the PM Tactical Network iDirect Hubs located at the five geographically dispersed Regional Hub Nodes (RHN) via the iDirect Global Network Management System (NMS) in direct mission support of US Army Soldiers with iDirect SATCOM terminal remotes as they prepare to deploy, fight, and win our Nations Wars across the full spectrum of conflict.

Candidate will provide support to existing terrestrial and satellite-based global network(s).

Candidate must also possess a strong knowledge of iDirect network architecture.

Must be available to travel to work locations within the Continental United States (CONUS) and Outside Continental United States (OCONUS) on occasion.

• Establish Teleport and RHN SATCOM services IAW ASAs, GAAs, SAAs, Network Diagrams, and any other documentation from the GAIT NOC Mission Coordinator.
• Respond to and assist the Government in interpreting Army Service Authorizations (ASAs), Satellite Access Authorizations (SAAs), Commercial Satellite Service Request (CSSRs), and other documents authorizing use of GAIT iDirect satellite services.
