SAP CPI Development and Architecture
- Design, develop, deploy, and support complex integrations using SAP CPI or SAP Integration Suite.
- Develop iFlows, exception-handling frameworks, reusable components, and monitoring solutions.
- Configure REST, SOAP, OData, IDoc, RFC, Proxy, JMS, HTTPS, SFTP, AS2, and SuccessFactors integrations.
- Use Groovy scripting, XSLT, Message Mapping, Content Modifiers, Router, Splitter, Gather, Process Direct, and Exception Subprocesses.
- Develop real-time, synchronous, asynchronous, and event-driven integration patterns.
- Design secure solutions using OAuth2, Principal Propagation, SAML, certificates, and API security standards.
Enterprise Integration Leadership
- Lead architecture discussions across SAP S/4HANA, SAP ECC, SAP Ariba, SuccessFactors, SAP Commerce Cloud, SAP IBP, SAP MDG, SAP BTP, Salesforce, and other systems.
- Drive API-first integration strategies and reusable services architecture.
- Collaborate with enterprise architects to define integration standards, governance models, and best practices.
- Evaluate modern integration approaches using SAP BTP services and cloud-native capabilities.
Support and Operations
- Provide L2/L3 support for production integration issues and lead root cause analysis.
- Troubleshoot mapping errors, connectivity issues, certificate renewals, payload transformations, and middleware performance bottlenecks.
- Monitor integration landscapes and implement proactive alerting mechanisms.
- Lead incident management, problem management, service improvement, and SLA compliance activities.
Performance, Security, and Innovation
- Optimize performance through payload tuning, parallel processing, and efficient mapping design.
- Ensure adherence to cybersecurity, audit, compliance, data privacy, and validation requirements in regulated environments.
- Conduct code reviews and enforce development standards across integration teams.
- Drive adoption of API Management, Event Mesh, Integration Advisor, AI/GenAI use cases, and reusable automation frameworks.
Required Skills
- 10–12 years of overall IT experience and at least 5 years of hands-on SAP CPI or SAP Integration Suite experience.
- Expertise in SAP CPI iFlows, Groovy scripting, Message Mapping, XSLT, REST/SOAP APIs, OData, IDocs, RFCs, XML/JSON, SFTP, HTTPS, JMS, and AS2.
- Experience integrating SAP S/4HANA, ECC, BTP, SuccessFactors, Ariba, Commerce Cloud, and third-party applications.
- Knowledge of integration architecture, API Management, event-driven architecture, cloud-native integrations, security frameworks, and performance tuning.
- Experience with global support, enhancements, implementation rollouts, DevOps or CI/CD, incident management, and stakeholder collaboration.
Preferred Qualifications and Certifications
- A bachelor’s degree in computer science, information technology, engineering, or a related field is preferred.
- SAP Certified Development Associate certification in SAP Integration Suite or SAP CPI is preferred.
- Experience in pharmaceutical, healthcare, medical device, or life sciences industries is preferred.
- Hands-on experience with SAP BTP, API Management, Event Mesh, Cloud Integration Governance, or PO/PI to CPI migrations is preferred.
- Knowledge of AI/GenAI-enabled automation and integration observability tools is preferred.
Location and Travel
- The role is based in Bangalore and explicitly described as hybrid.
