Role Overview
Provide end-to-end technical architecture and governance across SAP cloud implementation programmes.
Act as the technical authority across SAP projects for consultants, developers, security teams, and customer stakeholders.
The role covers SAP SuccessFactors, BTP, Integration Suite or CPI, IAS, IPS, APIs, extensions, and enterprise integrations.
Key Responsibilities
- Govern architecture across SuccessFactors, S/4HANA, BTP, Integration Suite, IAS, IPS, and third-party applications.
- Review designs against SAP architecture, integration, development, and security standards.
- Oversee SuccessFactors APIs, OData services, Integration Center, Intelligent Services, MDF, and file-based integrations.
- Guide standard SuccessFactors functionality, BTP extensions, and custom integrations.
- Design BTP solutions using Integration Suite, CPI, API Management, SAP Build, and Cloud Connector.
- Define integration patterns and standards for interfaces, errors, logging, monitoring, and security.
- Design authentication, SSO, and provisioning solutions using IAS, IPS, SAML, OAuth, and OpenID Connect.
- Review architecture and security documentation and data-flow diagrams.
- Resolve complex integration, identity, connectivity, and performance issues.
- Support SIT, UAT, cutover, production stabilization, and critical incident management.
- Mentor technical teams and support presales, estimation, presentations, and customer discussions.
Required Experience
- 8–12 or more years of SAP technical or integration experience, including SAP cloud implementations.
- Strong SAP BTP and SAP Integration Suite or CPI experience.
- Strong SAP SuccessFactors technical architecture and integration knowledge.
- Experience implementing or administering SAP IAS and IPS.
- Experience designing SAP and non-SAP enterprise integrations.
- Knowledge of REST, OData, SOAP, SFTP, XML, JSON, OAuth 2.0, SAML 2.0, and OpenID Connect.
- Strong cloud security, identity management, API, certificate, and encryption knowledge.
- Ability to troubleshoot across application, integration, identity, and network layers.
- Strong technical documentation, architecture diagramming, and stakeholder management skills.
Preferred Experience
- Experience with SuccessFactors Employee Central or Employee Central Payroll, S/4HANA, Cloud Connector, API Management, SAP Build, BTP application development, CAP, Java, Node.js, or SAP HANA Cloud.
- Experience with event-driven architecture, Microsoft Azure, Entra ID, SAP Concur, Ariba, Analytics Cloud, Cloud ALM, or SmartRecruiters.
- Relevant SAP BTP, Integration Suite, or SuccessFactors certifications are advantageous.
Key Competencies
End-to-end solution architecture capability and the ability to challenge technical designs constructively.
Strong analytical, troubleshooting, ownership, accountability, communication, and customer-facing consulting skills.
Ability to manage multiple projects and guide and mentor multidisciplinary technical teams.
