The employer is seeking an experienced SAP Basis Consultant to manage, maintain, monitor, and support SAP landscapes and infrastructure.
The role covers SAP Basis administration, SAP S/4HANA environments, installations, upgrades, performance monitoring, troubleshooting, transports, backup and recovery, and technical security.
Key responsibilities
- Perform day-to-day SAP Basis administration and technical support.
- Install, configure, upgrade, patch, and maintain SAP systems across development, quality assurance, and production environments.
- Manage CTS/TMS transports, system copies, refreshes, migrations, and kernel upgrades.
- Monitor system health, performance, jobs, dumps, locks, logs, instances, work processes, RFC connections, and parameters.
- Manage SAP users, roles, authorizations, technical security, and SAP HANA database environments.
- Perform backup, restore, disaster recovery, and high-availability activities.
- Support SAP interfaces and connectivity with external systems.
- Support implementations, migrations, upgrades, cutovers, go-live, and post-go-live activities.
- Coordinate with infrastructure, cloud, security, application, and SAP functional or technical teams.
- Maintain documentation and procedures and support security, availability, and performance standards.
Required requirements
- At least 5 years of experience as an SAP Basis Consultant or Administrator.
- Strong hands-on experience in SAP Basis administration and SAP S/4HANA environments.
- Strong experience with SAP HANA database administration and monitoring.
- Experience with SAP installations, configuration, upgrades, patches, kernel upgrades, and TMS/CTS.
- Experience with system copies, refreshes, migrations, performance monitoring, and troubleshooting.
- Experience with SAP jobs, system logs, dumps, locks, work processes, users, security, RFC, interfaces, backup, and recovery.
- Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills.
- Excellent English communication skills.
Preferred qualifications
- Disaster recovery and high-availability experience is preferred.
- SAP cloud experience with Azure, AWS, or SAP BTP is advantageous.
- Automotive industry experience, including work with OEMs, distributors, dealerships, or automotive service organizations, is preferred.
- SAP Basis certification, SAP Solution Manager or SAP Cloud ALM, SAP Fiori administration, operating systems, GCC/Saudi market, and automotive transformation experience are advantageous.
