The Sandwich Maker/Griller is responsible for preparing and grilling a variety of sandwiches, wraps, and related food items according to customer preferences and company recipes.
The role involves ensuring cleanliness, maintaining food safety standards, and providing excellent customer service in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities
- **Sandwich Preparation:**
- Prepare ingredients such as bread, meats, cheeses, vegetables, and condiments for sandwiches.
- Assemble sandwiches, wraps, and salads according to customer orders and company specifications.
- Ensure proper portioning and ingredient handling for consistent quality.
- **Grilling and Cooking:**
- Grill or toast sandwiches using specialized equipment (e.g., sandwich presses, grills).
- Monitor cooking times and temperatures to ensure sandwiches are cooked to the appropriate level.
- Adjust heat settings and timing for different types of sandwiches.
- **Customer Service:**
- Take customer orders accurately and ensure a positive customer experience.
- Communicate with customers about their preferences and offer suggestions or modifications.
- Handle special dietary requirements or preferences.
- **Quality Control:**
- Ensure all sandwiches and other food items meet food safety and quality standards.
- Check food freshness and maintain proper storage conditions for all ingredients.
- Keep work area clean and organized at all times.
- **Food Safety and Cleanliness:**
- Follow proper food handling and sanitation procedures to prevent contamination.
- Clean and sanitize cooking surfaces, equipment, and utensils regularly.
- Maintain hygiene standards in the kitchen.
- **Stock and Inventory Management:**
- Assist in inventory management by monitoring stock levels and helping with restocking.
- Report any shortages or issues with supplies to management.
- Ensure that all food items are stored properly and within required temperature ranges.
Skills And Qualifications
- Previous experience in food preparation or in a kitchen environment is preferred.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and under pressure.
- Excellent customer service and communication skills.
- Basic knowledge of food safety regulations and hygiene standards.
- Ability to handle cooking equipment such as grills, sandwich presses, and toasters.
- Attention to detail and ability to follow recipes and instructions.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to stand for extended periods.
- Ability to lift and move food items and kitchen equipment.
- Manual dexterity to handle cooking tools and utensils.
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: AED2,000.00 - AED2,300.00 per month
