Responsibilities

  • Ensure that the works assigned to him are executed safety and without risks for the health, quality and environment, both according to the requirements and those of the company
  • Close coordination with Sandfill Master / Supervisor everything that is required to perform his tasks properly
  • Assist in placing shore anchors from dredger to shore, and pumping & sandfill area
  • Inspect and perform equipment daily basic maintenance and supplies such as, lights, brakes, gas, oil, and water and perform pre and post trip inspections
  • Understand and follow directions from supervisors as to required work area
  • Ensure a sound understanding of the issues involving ground disturbance
  • Ensure equipment cleanliness and keep the equipment in good working order
  • Maintain the cleanliness of the site and the work environment and abide by the health and safety rules
  • Perform other tasks, as instructed by the site foremen/supervisor
  • Execution of the work in accordance with the local environmental prescriptions and regulations
  • Prevent delays and interruptions by complying with, and enforcing, codes
  • Report of accidents or particular events as per standards
  • Enhance organization reputation by accepting ownership for accomplishing new and different requests
  • Implement safety policies and procedures for effective and efficient functioning of the team and its operations
  • Maintain safe, secure, and healthy work environment by following and enforcing standards and procedures; complying with legal regulations
  • Safety is a part of each employee’s job, active participation to the safety program is a condition of each employee’s employment in order to achieve safer working environment
  • Generalist view of a Job that you have been assigned for – at times you will be ask to do above / beyond the scope of this role due to Operational/Technical requirements
  • Work in Compliance with HSE regulations
  • Use any equipment, protective devices or clothing required by the employer
  • Tell the employer or supervisor about any known missing or defective equipment or protective device that may be dangerous
  • Report any known workplace hazard or violation of the Act to the employer or supervisor
  • Not remove or make ineffective any protective device required by the employer or by the regulations

Qualifications

  • Secondary School Certificate with a discipline-specific technical qualification or equivalent
  • Personal Survival & Fire Fighting & First Aid Qualification (Basic Safety Training Certificates)STCW
  • Risk Assessment / PTW
  • Minimum 04 years of relevant experience in a similar industry
