Responsibilities
- Teach salsa and related Latin dance styles to children, teenagers, and adults in group and one to one formats
- Plan and deliver structured lessons, demonstrating techniques and routines
- Provide individualized feedback and prepare students for performances or assessments
- Welcome and guide learners and families, answer class related questions, and support trial lessons and enrollments
- Collaborate with the wider teaching team to coordinate schedules, participate in recitals and community events
- Contribute to maintaining a positive, inclusive studio atmosphere
Requirements
- Strong proficiency in Salsa and solid understanding of Latin Dance styles
- Experience teaching diverse age groups
- Customer service skills to create a welcoming environment
- Training and instructional skills to design lesson plans and adapt teaching methods
- Basic sales and enrollment support skills
- Prior experience as a dance instructor or performer, preferably in salsa or Latin dance
- Ability to communicate clearly in English; additional language skills are an advantage
- Capacity to work evenings and weekends as per class schedules

- Melody Makers is a long established education center in Al Karama, Dubai, UAE, providing music, dance, art, and communication skills training since 1997.
- Offers private and group classes for children (age 4+), teenagers, and adults, with options for in studio and online learning.
- Registered exam center for Trinity College London and certified center of ABGMVM.
- Multinational faculty, regular recitals and events, emphasis on one to one full hour lessons.
Role Description
- Teach salsa and related Latin dance styles to children, teenagers, and adults in both group and one to one formats.
- Plan and deliver structured lessons, demonstrating techniques and routines.
- Provide individualized feedback and prepare students for performances or assessments when applicable.
- Welcome and guide learners and families, answer class related questions, and support trial lessons and enrollments.
- Collaborate with the wider teaching team to coordinate schedules, participate in recitals and community events.
- Contribute to maintaining a positive, inclusive studio atmosphere.
Qualifications
- Strong proficiency in Salsa and solid understanding of Latin Dance styles, with experience teaching diverse age groups.
- Customer Service skills to create a welcoming environment, respond to inquiries, and build positive relationships.
- Training and instructional skills to design lesson plans, break down movement technique, and adapt teaching methods.
- Basic Sales and enrollment support skills to explain course offerings, guide trial classes, and assist with student retention.
- Prior experience as a dance instructor or performer, preferably in salsa or Latin dance.
- Ability to communicate clearly in English; additional language skills are an advantage.
- Capacity to work evenings and weekends as per class schedules, and to participate in events, recitals, and community programs.
- Formal dance training or certifications in Latin or social dance styles are beneficial but not mandatory.
