Position Summary

The Sales Team Lead will drive direct sales of MathWorks technology and related services in their assigned territory while leading and developing a cross-functional sales team, including Sales Representatives (Reps), Inside Sales Representatives (ISR), Sales Development Representatives (SDR), and Customer Service Representatives (CSR). This role will ensure alignment with company goals through effective reporting, territory management, and strategic industry communication.

The Team Lead along with the team will handle the entire sales process including opportunity generation and progression, prospect qualification, proof-of-concept delivery, value justification, and closure.

The sales process will include the appropriate use of technical sales support resources.

The team lead will be responsible for developing and executing territory account plans

The Lead will work closely with local and international technical and marketing experts to bring the full range of the MathWorks product portfolio and service offerings to your key accounts.

It is the declared goal to achieve higher senior customer relationships and herewith drive the adoption of MathWorks products and platforms.

Key Responsibilities

  • Execute direct sales activities to achieve or exceed targets.
  • Recruit, train, coach, and manage a dynamic team of Reps, ISR, SDR, and CSR.
  • Foster team engagement and maximize productivity through regular performance reviews and targeted development plans
  • Coordinate territory planning and industry outreach to deepen market penetration.
  • Maintain timely, accurate reporting on sales performance, customer activity, and pipeline status.
  • Collaborate with executive leadership to align territory strategies and industry messaging.
  • Resolve escalated customer concerns and support cross-functional team goals.
  • Analyze sales data to identify trends, challenges, and new opportunities.
  • Ensure adoption of sales tools like CRM and Prospecting tools within the team.
  • Ensure company compliance and uphold best practices in reporting and communication.
