About the Company

  • We are seeking an experienced Sales Manager to lead the business development and sales of utility scale battery energy storage systems (BESS) in the UAE.

About the Role

  • The Sales Manager will be responsible for driving the sales strategy and managing key relationships within the energy sector.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute a sales strategy to capture utility scale BESS opportunities across the UAE market.
  • Identify, prospect, and close deals with key stakeholders including utility companies (e.g., DEWA, ADDC), independent power producers (IPPs), large EPC contractors, and government agencies.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with decision makers, technical influencers, and procurement teams.
  • Lead commercial negotiations, including contract terms, pricing, and framework agreements.
  • Coordinate with internal technical, legal, and project management teams to deliver compelling proposals.
  • Monitor market trends, competitor activities, regulatory changes, and upcoming tenders (e.g., EWEC, DEWA solicitations).
  • Represent the company at industry events, conferences, and client meetings.
  • Achieve annual sales targets and pipeline growth objectives.

Qualifications

  • 4+ years of sales / business development experience in the energy sector, with at least 2 years focused on utility scale BESS (10 MWh+ projects) or closely related fields.
  • Proven track record of closing deals with utilities, IPPs, or major EPCs in the Middle East, preferably the UAE.
  • Deep understanding of energy storage applications, PCS, battery technologies, and project financial models.
  • Strong existing network with UAE energy stakeholders (DEWA, ADDC, EWEC, Masdar, ACWA Power, etc.).
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Electrical, Power, Renewable Energy) or Business. MBA is a plus.
  • Language skills: Fluent in English (business level). Arabic or Hindi are strong advantages.
  • Willingness to travel within the UAE and occasionally to other GCC countries.

  • Self starter with a hunter mentality and ability to work independently.
  • Strong negotiation, presentation, and closing skills.
  • Ability to translate technical product features into customer value propositions.
  • Culturally adaptable; able to work with diverse teams and clients.
