Role Overview

The Sales Manager is responsible for actively soliciting and managing sales opportunities and supporting timely service delivery.

The role assists with daily sales activities, builds value-based long-term customer relationships, and works toward individual and hotel revenue goals.

Schedule and Workplace

  • The position is full time.
  • The role is based at King Fahad Road in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, and is not remote.

Education and Experience Requirements

  • One pathway requires a recognized two-year degree in business administration, marketing, hotel and restaurant management, or a related field plus three years of relevant experience.
  • An alternative pathway requires a four-year bachelor's degree in business administration, marketing, hotel and restaurant management, or a related field plus one year of relevant experience.

Sales Relationships

  • Coordinate with external hotel sales channels to ensure sales efforts are coordinated and complementary.
  • Build relationships with existing and new customers to generate future bookings through sales visits, entertainment, familiarization trips, and trade shows.
  • Develop community relationships to expand the customer base and sales opportunities.
  • Manage relationships with key internal and external stakeholders.
  • Provide accurate and effective turnover information to banquet management.

Sales Activity Management

  • Participate in sales calls with team members to obtain new business or repeat business.
  • Support booking operations by preparing proposals, writing contracts, and producing customer correspondence.

Market and Revenue Development

  • Identify new business opportunities to achieve individual and hotel revenue targets.
  • Monitor competitors, economic trends, supply and demand, and other market conditions to guide sales activity.
  • Identify the best opportunities for the hotel based on market conditions and hotel needs.
  • Understand target customers, their businesses, concerns, and service expectations to provide effective business solutions.

Customer Service

  • Support company service and relationship strategies to increase customer loyalty through excellent customer experiences.
  • Provide customer service to increase market share and support company service standards.
  • Interact with guests and obtain feedback about product quality and service levels.
