About the Role
Southern Sun Abu Dhabi seeks a Sales Manager for MICE (Meetings, Incentives, Conferences, Exhibitions) to drive revenue by selling event space, rooms, and F&B outlets. The role requires 3-4 years of experience in a 4 or 5-star hotel, a valid driver's license, and knowledge of PMS systems.

Responsibilities
- Drive revenue by selling event space, rooms, and F&B outlets
- Grow G&C, incentive, corporate groups, and exhibition room nights
- Build and maintain strong relationships with unit management and clients
- Deliver and drive strategies for MICE segments
- Participate in department budgeting and forecasting
- Work with government bodies and local authorities
- Set sales targets for the hotel and plan towards achieving the goal
- Conduct sight visits and inspections by hosting current and future clients
- Understand, create, and prepare proposals and quotes
- Plan and stage client functions, site inspections; follow up post function on client satisfaction
- Promptly follow up on outstanding quotes, requests for proposals, sales enquiries, pending billing and closing PM’s
- Analyse client and market information and compile conclusive reports
Requirements
- Self motivated, target oriented individual with strong verbal and written communication skills
- Strong business acumen
- Relevant qualification relating to Sales & Marketing/Events or Hotel Management
- 3 to 4 years of experience in a 4 or 5 star hotel
- Must have a valid driver's license
- Knowledge of PMS Systems
- Must be available in Abu Dhabi

Job Overview

Key Responsibilities

- Have contacts in the local market / international market.
- Conduct sight visits and inspections by hosting current as well as future clients.

- Planning and staging client functions, site inspections; follow up post function on client satisfaction.
- Promptly follow up on outstanding quotes, requests for proposals, sales enquiries, pending billing and closing PM’s.
- Familiar with Micros / FMC / Opera and other hotel operating systems.
- Analyse client and market information and compile conclusive reports with recommendations.
- Contribute to weekly / monthly departmental meetings by liaising with internal stakeholders.
Requirements
- A Self motivated, target orientated individual with strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong business acumen
- A relevant qualification relating to Sales & Marketing/Events or Hotel Management
- 3 to 4 years of experience in a 4 or 5 star hotel
- Must have a valid driver’s license.
- Knowledge of PMS Systems
