Role Description

  • The Sales Manager – Chemicals & Petrochemicals | Africa Market is a Full time, hybrid role based in Dubai, with flexibility for some work from home.
  • The role focuses on developing and executing sales strategies for petrochemical products across key African markets.
  • Daily responsibilities include identifying and qualifying new customers, managing relationships with existing clients, and negotiating pricing, contracts, and delivery terms.
  • The Sales Manager will conduct market research, monitor competitor activity, and provide regular sales forecasts and performance reports.
  • The role also involves coordinating with supply chain, finance, and operations teams to ensure timely deliveries, manage credit and payment terms, and maintain high levels of customer satisfaction.

Qualifications

  • Proven sales and business development experience in chemicals, petrochemicals, or related industrial sectors, ideally focused on African markets.
  • Strong skills in client relationship management, negotiation, and closing deals across diverse cultural and business environments.
  • Solid understanding of international trade, logistics, and basic commercial terms (Incoterms, payment terms, contracts).
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills in English.
  • Comfort with CRM systems (Microsoft Business Center), MS Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word), and digital communication tools to manage remote and hybrid work.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Business, or a related field; equivalent practical strong experience will also be considered.
  • Ability to work fully independently on his/her vertical, and travel within Africa and the region when required.
