The Sales Manager, Hydroponics will create greater awareness and familiarity with Profile Products and HydraFiber Coir, establish high-value customer relationships, initiate commercially relevant trials and develop those trials into paying, repeat customers. Serve as the primary commercial owner and sales contact for the North American hydroponics territory.
Manage and develop existing customers while proactively identifying and approaching new strategic accounts.
Build and maintain a qualified sales pipeline across vine crops, soft fruit and other relevant hydroponic opportunities.
Develop relationships with growers, owners, crop managers, consultants, propagators, distributors and other market influencers.
Prepare annual account plans and sales forecasts for priority customers and market segments.
Negotiate pricing and commercial terms in coordination with the Global Business Leader Hydroponics.
Initiate well-structured substrate trials and develop them through the appropriate stages toward commercial adoption.

Convert successful trials into paid commercial orders and, ultimately, full-greenhouse business where appropriate.
Maintain ownership of the customer relationship throughout the trial, including regular follow-up, documentation and coordination of next steps.

Work directly with Category Manager Cannabis as a direct commercial colleague and use technical support where needed.
Collaborate effectively with marketing, operations, innovation and the broader Profile Products sales organization.
Bachelor's degree or equivalent relevant commercial and horticultural experience.
Demonstrated experience selling professional growing media, substrates or closely related horticultural products.
Experience managing strategic accounts and developing new commercial relationships.
Experience supporting product trials and conducting technically oriented sales conversations
Experience using CRM systems, developing forecasts and maintaining a disciplined opportunity pipeline
The position typically operates in a standard office environment but may frequently visit manufacturing and / or distribution operations.
This position routinely uses office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, file cabinets, and fax machines.
Approximately 30-40% travel throughout Canada and the United States, or as required to provide effective market coverage.
Attendance at relevant North American trade shows and industry meetings.
Occasional international travel, including GreenTech Amsterdam in the Netherlands.
