Job Summary

  • The Sales Engineer is responsible for generating sales opportunities, developing client relationships, and promoting the factory's wood products and joinery solutions.
  • Coordinates with engineering, production, and project teams to ensure customer satisfaction and project success.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Architecture, Construction Management, Business Administration, or related field.
  • Minimum 3–5 years of sales experience in wood manufacturing, joinery, furniture, fit out, or construction industries.
  • Good Knowledge of wood products, joinery manufacturing processes, and interior fit out works.
  • Experience in project sales and tendering processes.
  • Familiarity with project specifications and tendering procedures.

Responsibilities

  • Identify and develop new business opportunities in construction, interior fit out, hospitality, commercial, and residential sectors.
  • Promote wood products and services: wooden doors, kitchen cabinets, wardrobes, closets, decorative wall paneling, furniture, custom joinery, wooden cladding, architectural woodwork, hotel/office/retail fit out.
  • Conduct client meetings, presentations, and site visits.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with contractors, consultants, architects, developers, and project owners.
  • Achieve assigned sales targets and business development objectives.
  • Coordinate with estimation, engineering, and production departments for accurate pricing and technical compliance.
  • Provide technical advice and product recommendations to clients.
  • Negotiate prices, payment terms, and contract conditions.
  • Maintain strong customer relationships and provide excellent after sales support.
  • Address client concerns, complaints, and technical inquiries promptly.
  • Monitor market trends, competitor activities, and customer requirements.
  • Maintain an updated database of customers, consultants, contractors, and ongoing projects.

Skills

  • Strong sales, negotiation, and business development skills.
  • Excellent communication and presentation abilities.
  • Ability to read and understand architectural and shop drawings.
  • Knowledge of joinery materials, finishes, and manufacturing methods.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
  • Knowledge of AutoCAD and ERP systems is an advantage.
  • Strong problem solving and customer relationship management skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet sales targets.
  • Valid driving license.

Preferred Experience

  • Experience in custom joinery, furniture manufacturing, and interior fit out projects.
  • Strong network with contractors, consultants, architects, interior designers, and developers.
  • Experience in the local construction and fit out market is highly preferred.
  • Familiarity with hospitality, commercial, residential, and government projects.
