About the Role

  • As a Sales Engineer Marine Systems, you will play a key role in bridging the gap between engineering solutions and customer requirements by developing both new and existing business opportunities across the region.
  • Supporting the Regional Manager, you will drive the sales and marketing of Trelleborg Marine Systems' marine fender solutions, working closely with customers to understand their technical and commercial needs and providing tailored, value driven engineered solutions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Strategic: Coordinate and attend conferences, seminars, local advertising; develop relationships with partners, consultants, agents, industry bodies, end users; provide feedback on market trends and competitor status.
  • Business Development: Convert leads to opportunities, convert opportunities to sales orders, ensure CRM data entry, capture client feedback, participate in aftersales site visits.
  • Sales Procedures: Understand customer needs, demonstrate product features, collaborate with technical team, prepare costing sheets and quotations, negotiate contracts, provide post sales support, attend industry events.
  • Reporting: Generate monthly reports on client visit plan, tactical sales opportunities, client feedback.
  • Marketing: Support manager in marketing materials and strategies.
  • Innovation: Capture innovative ideas and contribute to process improvement.

What you bring

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Mechanical or Electrical Engineering)
  • 3 5 years proven experience in sales, project engineering roles or equivalent, ideally in the marine (or related) sector.
  • Salesperson with a minimum of 3 years of sales, project, commercial, or management experience in the Marine (or related) industry.
  • French speaking language desirable
