Role Overview
Reid’s Distillery is seeking an early-career Sales Development Associate to expand grocery and convenience distribution across Ontario.
The role provides hands-on experience in business development, account management, and consumer packaged goods sales.
Grocery and Convenience Business Development
- Research grocery, convenience, gas, specialty retail, and other potential accounts.
- Identify buyers, category managers, merchants, and decision-makers.
- Conduct outbound prospecting through email, phone, LinkedIn, and other channels.
- Introduce Reid’s products and secure meetings with prospective customers.
- Maintain and advance a structured pipeline of prospective retailers and opportunities.
- Identify new banners, distributors, wholesalers, and retail groups to pursue.
- Support product listings and retailer category-review processes.
Major Retail Opportunities
- Prepare account and buyer research, meeting briefs, talking points, pricing, product information, and retailer presentations.
- Coordinate samples, product submissions, retailer forms, and new-vendor documentation.
- Track questions, commitments, deadlines, next steps, and follow-up communications.
- Work with senior leadership to develop and close larger retail opportunities.
